POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The Youth and Family Program Manager is responsible for leading and facilitating pre-planned activities for members and guests of all ages. This high-energy role focuses on executing engaging programs—whether alongside the Director of Member Experience or independently—while creating a welcoming, fun, and memorable atmosphere during events, themed nights, and daily activities.
In addition to year-round programming, this role plays a key part in the successful execution of seasonal youth initiatives, including summer camps. Responsibilities include assisting with camp programming, leading group activities, ensuring camper engagement and safety, and supporting daily camp operations to deliver a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants.
The ideal candidate brings enthusiasm, adaptability, and a passion for working with youth and families, with the ability to confidently lead activities, foster positive interactions, and maintain a high level of energy throughout the day.
POSITION FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
- Lead Pre-Planned Activities: Execute and guide assigned activities for children, teens, adults, and families. Activities may include crafts, games, socials, and other club-hosted events.
- Support the Member Experience Director: Work directly with or independently from the Director of Member Experience to carry out scheduled programming.
- Create a Fun Atmosphere: Ensure members and guests are engaged, welcomed, and having a great time during activities.
- Set Up & Clean Up: Prepare spaces, materials, and equipment before activities and ensure cleanup and reset after the activity concludes.
- Provide Member Support: Greet and assist members, answer questions about current activities, and help guide them to the correct location or person when needed.
- Use AV Equipment (as needed): Operate microphones, music, or simple audio/visual equipment to make announcements or entertain during events.
- Maintain Safety: Ensure all activities are run in a safe, clean, and respectful environment. Report any incidents or hazards immediately to the Member Experience team.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Must possess CPR and First Aid certification.
- One year of youth related activity experience is required. Recreation experience preferred.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in an indoor/outdoor setting, busy and noisy environment.
- Some varied weather conditions are expected with exposure to heat/humidity, or cool/cold weather.
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, and extended hours as business dictates.
