About the Job
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Be Involved in All Outside Operations:
- Ensure all club-owned and member carts are pulled out and cleaned for member play.
- Ensure all practice facilities are set up and maintained throughout the day.
- Ensure all members are greeted upon arrival to the course Keep Practice Facilities Kept Up to Standards.
- Ensure the driving range has been set up properly and has every stand stocked with golf balls, tees, and a fresh area of grass to hit from
- Make the driving range visually appealing to members who have just arrived.
- Ensure the chipping green is clean of any golf balls to maximize the practicing experience for the members Greet Every Member and Offer First Class Service.
- Exceed expectations whenever and wherever possible.
- Deliver the “WOW” factor to our members through our consistent and friendly service Tournament Operations.
- Ensure accuracy of cart staging area for tournaments including the staging of bags, accuracy of pairings, briefing of outside operations staff of event, and set-up details.
- Assist in greeting tournament players in the parking lot and getting their bag to their carts for play.
- Be knowledgeable about the location of the registration table and where scoring will be held in case you are asked about Member Clubs and Carts.
- Members store their golf clubs and golf carts with us in the bag room.
- Clean member clubs after each use and, when applicable, place their clubs back in their storage slot.
- Member carts will be cleaned after each use and stored in their proper spot.
- Member bags and carts will be pulled out 90 minutes prior to the member tee time.
About Crestview Country Club
Crestview Country Club has a broad history of excellence in Wichita. Founded in 1921, by three local businessmen on 160 acres between 17th and 21st, and Fairmount College and Oliver. They platted out the golf course, then fenced the greens to protect them from cattle that rightfully roamed the area. The remaining buffalo and surrounding wild grasses contributed to the natural appeal of the original golf course.The spirit of Crestview remained strong through World War II, the Great Depression, a fire that destroyed the original Clubhouse, the move to its current location in 1969, and many other events throughout its history.
